Abstract In order to investigate experimentally that effect of Moschus, Bovis Calculus, Ursi Fel aqua-acupuncture on acutely damaged liver of rats induced by radix aconiti, the author gave Moschus, Bovis Calculus, Ursi Fel aqua-acupuncture according to method of manufacture stimulation to corresponding points, Kan-su(B18) and Ki-mun(Liv14), and carried out hematological, serological observation. Experimental groups were divided into 2 group : the one group was injected with extracted solution prepared by distillation method (A aqua-acupuncture treatment group), the other group was injected with extracted solution prepared by alchol extraction method (B aqua-acupuncture treatment group). The following results were obtained : 1. WBC level was decreased significantly in the experimental groups at 12, 24 and 48 hours as compared with the control group. RBC and hemoglobin levels were not changed significantly in the experimental groups. 2. Total cholesterol level was decreased significantly in the experimental groups at 12, 24 and 48 hours as compared with the control group. ALP level was decreased significantly in the experimental groups at 6 and 24 hours as compared with the control group. $\small{{\gamma}-GTP}$ level was decreased significantly in the experimental groups at 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours as compared with the control group. 3. GOT level was decreased significantly in the experimental groups at 6 and 12 hours as compared with the control group. GPT level was decreased siginificantly in the experimental groups at 12, 24 and 96 hours as compared with the control group. According to the above findings, it is considered that Moschus, Bovis Calculus, Ursi Fel aqua-acupuncture has effects of recovery of acutely damaged liver.

Abstract In order to investigate experimentally that effect of Moschus, Bovis Calculus, Ursi Fel aqua-acupuncture on acutely damaged liver of rats induced by radix aconiti, the author gave Moschus, Bovis Calculus, Ursi Fel aqua-acupuncture according to method of manufacture stimulation to corresponding points, Kan-su (B18) and Ki-mun (Liv14), and carried out hematological, serological examination and electromicroscopical observation. The following results were obstained : 1. At 6 hours, cell organelles induced by radix aconiti toxicity prominently destructed in control and aqua-acupuncture treatment groups. 2. At 12 hours, cell organelles, destruction was some similarities between control group and aqua-acupuncture treatment group. 3. At 24 hours, rough endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complex comparatively developed in aqua-acupuncture group treatment as compared with control group. 4. At 48 hours, cell organelles, destruction was recovered in aqua-acupuncture treatment group as compared with the control group and it was similiar normal findings. According to the above findings, it is considered that Moschus, Bovis Calculus, Ursi Fel aqua-acupuncture has effects of recovery of acutely damaged liver.

Abstract In order to investigate experimentally that Bovis Calculus, Ursi Feli Aqua-acupuncture(BUA) have an effect on Adjuvant Arthritis in rats, the author inserted BUA at points corresponding with Chok-samni(ST36) and T'aegye(KI3), and observed an inhibitory rate of edema and pain, variations of White blood cell(WBC), Red blood cell(RBC), Hemoglobin(Hb) in blood. The author also observed the histological changes of joint tissue. The results were as follows : 1. The BUA group during the 6th and 9th were decreased with statistical significance in inhibitory rate of paw edema as compared with the control group. 2. The BUA group during the 3rd and 9th day were decreased with statistical significance in inhibitory rate of pain as compared with the control group. 3. The BUA group during the 3rd, 6th and 9th day were decreased with statistical significance in blood WBC as compared with the control group. The blood RBC and Hb didn't have statistical significance. 4. According to the histological studies, the synovial cells were necrotized at the 3rd, 6th and 9th day control group, but some synovial cells were necrotized at the 3rd day BUA group. The synovial cells of the the 6th and 9th day BUA group were recovered more than that of the 3th day group.

Abstract In order to study the effect of aqua-acupuncture with Radix Angelicae gigantis extract solution by acuncture point. Radix Angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture was carried on every day for 3 days and 5 days 7 days respectively on the corresponding loci of Chondol(CV22) and non-acupuncture points (loci at the root of tail), after inducing hypothyroidism by thiourea administration and thereafter the contents of serum triiodothyronine$\small{(T_3)}$, thyroxine$\small{(T_4)}$, triiodothyronine uptake, free $\small{T_3}$, free $\small{T_4}$, total protein, albumin, creatinine, creatine, BUN, cholesterol, triglyceride, and total lipid were measured in hypothyroidism rats. The following results have been obtained : 1. $\small{T_3}$ was increased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aquq-acupuncture for 3 days, 5 days and 7 days Chondol(CV22) and non-acupuncture points as compared with the control group. 2. $\small{T_3}$ uptake was increased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aquq-acupuncture for 3 days, 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22) as compared with the control group. 3. Free $\small{T_4}$ was increased with statistical significance by Radix angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture for 3 days, 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22), and non-acupuncture points respectively as compared with the control group. 4. Albumin was decreased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture for 3 days, and 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22), and non-acupuncture points respectively as compared with the control group. 5. Creatine was decreased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture for 3 days, and 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22), and non-acupuncture points respectively as compared with the control group. 6. Cholesterol was decreased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture for 3 days, and 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22) and non-acupuncture points respectively as compared with the control group. 7. Triglyceride was decreased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture for 3 days, and 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22) and non-acupuncture points respectively as compared with the control group. 8. Total lipid was decreased with statistical significance by Radix Angelicae gigantis aqua-acupuncture for 3 days, and 5 days and 7 days to Chondol(CV22) and non-acupuncture points respectively as compared with the control group.

Author(s) An, Sang-U
Abstract YAKCHIM is a clinical research of korean O.M.D's in the 1960's, and it was activated by experimental research and organization of the association after 1980. YAKCHIM in Korea is a new technical therapy that used the efficacy of traditional herb and the stimulation of meridian at points by needles. In order to search the original form of YAKCHIM and the significance of development in therapeutic methodology, reger to various documents. The results were obtained as follow : 1. The form of injection in YAKCHIM is a developed form of a aspirator which trace the cupping therapy(附缸) to its origin. 2. The injection techniques that used extracts of oriental herb can be found out original methodology in Bee-acupuncture(蜂針) and snake teeth etc. that have been used in far-eastern area from long time ago. 3. YAKCHIM in Korea is a developed form of techniques which was combined with the meridian theory, in consequence, it is difference with an injection syringe which only used to injection in modern medicine.

Abstract In order to study of safety, Hwanggum(黃芩) aqua-acupuncture was prepared by boiling extract and filtration. This study was performed to determine the toxic effects of graded dose levels and effects of Scutellaria Root after repeated administration(14days). From these results, Hwanggum(黃芩) aqua-acupuncture was quite sag in male and female rats.
